Contraband runs on Meta Quest 2, Quest 3, Quest 3S, and Quest Pro. You sit in a shared virtual screening room with other members, watch a film together at a set time, and vote on it when the credits roll. No algorithm. No feed. Just cinema.

How to install
Three steps.
Open the Meta Horizon Store
On your Quest headset, or in the Meta Horizon app on your phone.
Search for "Contraband"
Click on Contraband VR Cinema and tap Install. The app is free to download.
Sign in and take your seat
Open the app, sign in with your Contraband account, and you are ready for your first screening.

What to expect
This is not streaming.

There is no on-demand. A film screens at a scheduled time, for everyone at once. That constraint is the point. It turns watching into an event.

Films that have no other home.
The slate is built from independent features, documentaries, and AI-made films that mainstream distribution has no path for. Work that deserves a real audience.
Before the first screening
You will need an account.
The app requires a Contraband account to access screenings and book tickets. If you have not signed up yet, do it now. We will make sure you have everything you need before the first film.
